  • Are run for and by adult mental health consumers.

  • Ensure a safe place for mutual support by members

  • Provide leadership, education, training and research opportunities for members

  • Offer a range of peer support groups

  • Provide a bridge from state hospitals to life in the community

  • Educate mental health consumers about and connect them to needed Medicaid and other, community resources
