Consumer-to-Consumer Experts

The Consumer-to-Consumer Expertise program identifies consumers who are willing to share knowledge and matches them with CROs in need of their assistance.

Social and Rehabilitation Services Division of Health Care Policy, Mental Health (SRS) and the WSU Center For Community Support & Research recognize the importance of this support and will pay a consultation fee and expenses for approved technical assistance provided by consumer to consumers.

For more information, call the WSU Center For Community Support and Research at (316) 978-3843 or (800) 445-0116 (toll free in Kansas).

The purpose of Consumer-to-Consumer Shared Expertise is to increase capacity among:

  • Those providing technical assistance by recognizing and exercising their skills and knowledge in new environments

  • Those receiving assistance by providing needed support and technical know-how designed to address identified needs

  • The statewide network of CROs by building an expanded base of consumer driven technical assistance
